Manuscript preparation instructions:

Manuscripts must be written in English.

Your papers MUST be formatted to IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Manuscript Formatting Guidelines. Please click on the link below for Formatting Instructions from the IEEE Computer Society Press.

For Windows Word users: 8.5" x 11" (DOC, PDF, PS)

For Latex users: LaTex Formatting Macros

Papers should be no longer than eight (8) pages. All papers should be in Adobe portable document format (PDF.)

Papers submitted by students may be considered for the Best Student Paper Award. To be eligible, the student must be the sole author of the paper, or the first author and primary contributor.

 

Submission instructions:

Extended paper submission deadline is July 7, 2006, 11:59pm EDT!

Submissions of high quality papers describing mature results or on-going work are invited. A paper should be submitted to one of the following 11 conference tracks for consideration of acceptance and presentation at ISM2006.

  • Audio Processing Track
  • Image and Video Processing Track
  • Modeling, Language, Interface and Tools for Multimedia Systems Track
  • Multimedia Applications Track
  • Multimedia Database and Information Retrieval Track
  • Multimedia Documents Track
  • Multimedia Networking and QoS Track
  • Multimedia Security Track
  • Multimedia Software Engineering Track
  • Multimedia Visualization Track
  • Special Tracks

Technical paper authors MUST submit their manuscripts electronically. Authors should submit a full paper via electronic submission at http://www.ecs.csus.edu/webconf/ISM06.

Quick guideline on electronic submission:

  • Fill in all fields of the submission form including contact author name, email address, postal address, paper title, paper abstract, keywords indicating the paper's topic area, paper type (student or non-student,) and track name (select one from the listed conference technical tracks.)
  • Double check the information you provided in the form. For proper handling and review of your paper, please make sure the accuracy of the information provided in this form.
  • Click on the 'submit paper' button.
  • You will receive a notice from the conference if we encounter any printing problem or other problems.

Note:

All papers will be carefully reviewed by three experts and reviews will be returned to the author(s) with comments to ensure the high quality of the accepted papers. All papers accepted by the regular tracks, the special tracks, and the workshops will be included in the Conference Proceedings which will be published by the IEEE Computer Society Press. A number of the papers presented at the conference will be selected for possible publications in journals. The authors of accepted papers must guarantee that their paper will be presented at the conference. For further information on the Technical Sessions, please contact:
