Special Track on

Media on the Move

December 11-13, 2006
Paradise Point Resort & Spa, San Diego, California, USA

Special Track Abstract:

The separation between the three worlds, namely `Home', `Office' and `On the Move', slowly but steadily have diminished due to significant strides in resolving the communication disparities that exist in these three worlds. This gives rise to newer and richer `Media on the Move' features like TV-on-Mobile. This special session will address algorithms & architectures that enable such features `On the Move¡¯. Specific focus is on design approaches that provide the necessary computing power at modest power dissipation and reasonable silicon footprint while still keeping flexibility and shorter time to design. The special track will include overview papers as well as previously unpublished research in this area.
